David Irving

In this monumental, meticulously referenced work, Britain’s best known and most controversial historian dismantles the familiar propaganda image of Hitler, Third Reich Germany and World War II. Based on primary sources neglected by other historians, and incorporating the latest archival finds, Hitler’s War has been a recommended reference work at West Point, at Sandhurst, and at universities around the world. "No praise can be too high for Irving's indefatigable scholarly industry," fellow British historian Hugh Trevor Roper (Lord Dacre) once wrote.

Written in gripping, page-turning prose, this completely updated and revised deluxe hardcover edition is the product of 25 years of dedicated research and unmatched scholarship. It is David Irving’s crowning achievement. Sumptuously illustrated, this edition has nearly 200 rare photographs -- including scores of unforgettable, never-before-published photos in vivid color. Also includes a full-color dust jacket, extensive source notes, and detailed index. A work of more than a thousand pages, it incorporates The War Path, covering the prewar years.

David Irving and Mark Weber

Two memorable talks by specialists of the Third Reich and World War II, at the IHR meeting on April 17, 2005.

British historian David Irving, speaking on "The Faking of Adolf Hitler for History," identifies some of the many fraudulent historical documents that have been cited over the years by "conformist" historians of the Third Reich era. As even his adversaries concede, Irving’s knowledge of Hitler and wartime Germany is unrivaled. He is the author of numerous books on this era, many of them best-sellers, including his monumental work, Hitler's War.

H. Keith Thompson

A knowledgeable, personalized look at the life of a respected and beloved German military and political leader. An important lecture, from the Fifth IHR Conference (1983). Thompson -- editor of Dönitz:at Nuremberg: A Reappraisal – tells the story of how Hitler appointed Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz as his successor, shortly before his death, and sketches the monumental challenges faced by the new Reich President as German resistance was collapsing and enemy forces invaded from East and West. The short-lived Dönitz government, Thompson contends, was Germany’s last legitimate regime. On May 23, 1945, the victorious Allied powers summarily dissolved it – in violation of international law – and arrested Dönitz and other leading officials. Thompson also reviews the shameful Allied prosecution of Dönitz at Nuremberg, his unjust prison sentence, and the final years of his life.

Wolf Hess

Audio of the video shown at the Eleventh IHR Conference -- 1992. The son of Hitler's faithful Deputy talks about the dramatic life and mysterious death of his father. Rudolf Hess' bold 1941 flight to Scotland seeking to end World War II resulted in 46 years of imprisonment, until his death in 1987. His fate as the 20th century's Prisoner of Peace points up the vindictiveness and hypocrisy of the Nuremberg Tribunal. Here his son argues persuasively that Hess was murdered at the hands of British captors.
