Here is the complete text of two secret wartime German sta­tistical reports on the "Final Solution of the European Jewish Question." Prepared by order of SS chief Heinrich Himmler, these 1943 reports are the most authoritative wartime statistical documents on the fate of Europe's Jews. While they explain the German program of "evacuating" Jews to the East, they contain no mention of any extermination pro­gram. To the contrary, they indicate that the incessantly re­peated claim of "Six Million" wartime Jewish dead is impossible. These documents are ably translated by Stephen Challen, a Canadian researcher who explains the historical context and provides informed commentary. Also included are the complete texts of the reports' accompanying transmittal letters, as well as a bibliography and source notes. Based on a close analysis of these doc­uments and other evidence, Challen estimates a total wartime Jewish death toll of approximately 1.2 million.

Fred Leuchter, widely recognized as America’s foremost expert of lethal gas chamber technology, visited the sites of the wartime concentration camps at Dachau and Mauthausen, and the Hartheim center near Linz, to inspect the “gas chamber” facilities or rooms at those places and determine if they were, or ever could ever have been, used for killing, as has been alleged. In this “Second Leuchter Report” lecture, given at the Tenth IHR Conference (1990), Leuchter reports on his visit, his detailed forensic examination, and his conclusion that none of these rooms or facilities were ever used, or could have been used, as lethal “gas chambers.” He also tells about the vicious hate campaign that destroyed his career, a campaign motivated by revenge for his earlier, headline-making report on the “gas chambers” of Auschwitz-Birkenau and Majdanek.

In this incisive work, a Swiss educator, linguist and researcher unsparingly dissects the standard “mainstream” work of Holocaust history -- Raul Hilberg’s three-volume De­struction of the European Jews. Graf’s overview – with source notes and index -- effectively contrasts “orthodox” and “revisionist” scholarship on the emotion-laden “Holocaust” issue. The author, who was driven into political exile for writings such as this one, tackles such thorny issues as the fate of the masses of deported Jews, the role of the special Einsatzgruppen commando units in the occupied Soviet territo­ries, the “gas chamber” evidence, and much more.
